Boosting resilience & fostering connections among teens impacted by October 7

In 2024, The Jewish Agency and Mosaic United launched Campers2Gether to support traumatized Israeli youth and teens impacted by the horrors of October 7 and boost their resilience. Through the program, young Israelis living in the shadow of the conflict experienced a healing respite like no other and formed powerful connections as they attended Jewish overnight camps around the world.

Campers2Gether welcomed the first 1,000+ participants from the North and South of Israel to 49 camps in the US and around the world in the summer of 2024, followed by winter camps later in the year.

In April 2025, thanks to a generous three-year, $2.5 million annual matching commitment from the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Supporting Foundation, The Jewish Agency announced the Campers2Gether program will continue, with ~700 Israeli teens expected to attend Jewish overnight camps across North America in the summer of 2025. Campers2Gether is also made possible through partnerships with local Jewish federations and summer camps throughout North America.

“After October 7, I went into a very deep depression. But here at camp, I feel like I’m blooming. Everything I was before October 7, all the pieces of myself, I’m starting to find them. It’s as if I’m back to who I was before the war. This is what’s amazing about this experience.” -Omer, 15, a resident of Kibbutz Urim who participated in Campers2Gether in 2024, attending a camp in New York.
