From Ukraine to Israel: Liudmila’s Story

On February 24, Liudmila, 24, was sleeping in her bed in Kyiv, Ukraine, when she was woken up by a friend calling her to tell her the war had begun. Fearing for their lives, Liudmila, her mom and her sister quickly packed up some of their belongings and boarded a bus to Lviv, before crossing the border into Poland where The Jewish Agency assisted them in making Aliyah.

Now, Liudmila is studying at Tel Aviv University and living at The Jewish Agency’s Ulpan Beit Brodetsky in Tel Aviv.
