The Jewish Agency is excited to partner with Vibe Israel USA for a dynamic, interactive online conference on August 13, 2020, that will explore how to share Israel’s story with the next generation – virtually.

Unboxing Israel 2020 is designed for professionals engaging young adults with Israel – Jewish community leaders, educators, marketers, and Israel travel pros. Vibe Israel will provide practical tools and guidance interspersed with unexpected and fun experiences. The three-hour virtual conference will dive into Israel’s story and how to tell it (so they will listen), global research on Next Generation perceptions of Israel, and practical tools and techniques for Next Gen engagement, and influencer marketing best practices.

Other partners in this event include Hillel International, Israel Consulate General of New York, Jewish Federations of North America and JCC Association of North America.

Vibe Israel originally planned to launch their newest tools and programs – the Vibe Israel Academy and the Unboxing Israel digital toolkit – with a conference in New York on March 17, which did not happen due to the onset of the coronavirus pandemic. Vibe Israel still wanted the summit’s tools and programs available to the broader Jewish community to help organizations successfully share Israel’s story with the next generation digitally — so they’ve gone digital themselves.

“I think many organizations recognize that there is a challenge in telling the Israel story that resonates with millennials and Gen Z, but aren’t quite sure how to do it,” explained Vibe Israel USA President & CEO Becca Hurowitz. “At Vibe Israel, we feel that Israel’s values and narratives make it a perfect fit with the next gen, and we want to give organizations practical tools and tips on how to communicate that.”

Today, Becca feels the biggest challenge in sharing Israel’s story with the next generation is cutting through the noise.

“For a lot of North American young adults, there can be conflicting information about Israel that they learn from their families and the organized community vs. what they may hear on campus and on social media,” shared Becca. “We focus on conveying the many attributes of Israel that really resonate with the next gen – innovative, progressive, vibrant, resourceful. We want to work with people and organizations to make that message heard over any others.”

Appropriately, as travel is discouraged and/or restricted during the COVID-19 pandemic, Becca and her team are excited to debut a new product called Vibe Live! at the Unboxing Israel Summit, that will respond specifically to the challenge of connecting young adults to Israel at a time when they cannot visit.
