About the program

The program focuses on strategies of management suitable for the competitive and uncertain environment of globalization. It is designed to provide students with the skills to manage global systems with a strategic view of tourism and hotel management, in contexts such as international hotel chains, airlines, and international tour operators, and to become decision-makers in regional and national authorities.

If you are between the ages of 21-30 and have a bachelor’s degree in any field, meet the academic admission requirements, and are single or married without children, we invite you to this two-and-a half-year program.

Starting date: Arrival in May 2020

Eligibility

New immigrants arriving from abroad or who have lived for up to 18 months in Israel as of May 2020.
Aged 21-30. (In some cases, the cut-off age is 35; contact us for information).

Pass an English exam. (Students whose first degree was taught in English are exempt).

Accommodations

Student housing is at Bikat Kinorot, a vibrant, lively campus south of Lake Kinneret, 15 kilometers from Tiberias. The campus is home to young adults from Israel and around the world who are participating in a variety of programs. It is a lush, green area close to the Jordan River that offers activities such as water sports, pubs, dances, parties and more. Housing is available at our furnished studio apartments, two or three people per unit. Meals are not included; there is a supermarket nearby. The housing complex includes an activity room, a huge garden and easy access to the Jordan River. Students can also be matched with an Israeli “adoptive” family for a homey touch.

It is designed to provide students with the skills to manage global systems with a strategic view of tourism and hotel management, in contexts such as international hotel chains, airlines, and international tour operators, and to become decision-makers in regional and national authorities.

The Program Includes

MA studies: The first year will be taught in English. At the same time, about 1,000 hours of class time will be dedicated to a Hebrew language course (“ulpan”). In the second semester of the second year, after having learned Hebrew intensively, you will gradually take courses in Hebrew.

Tourism agents’ course: The program includes a subsidized course leading to a diploma that opens opportunities to work as a tourism agent. Additionally, the college will offer access to its connections within the region’s tourism industry, and share it for students’ potential work opportunities.

Additional Activities and Services

A counselor will assist you in integrating to the campus environment, run social events and more so you will feel at home. We will provide subsidized tutoring if needed and trips in Israel so you can meet new friends from other academic institutions and explore the country.

Tuition and Fees

You will receive a scholarship for full standard university tuition. Some additional fees may apply.
80% of the tuition for the tour agent course is covered.
On-campus housing: Housing costs 700 NIS per month per person (married couples pay 1,400 NIS total). Students are billed for electricity and water according to consumption. Each apartment has wi-fi. A deposit of 500 NIS will be returned at the conclusion of the program to students who have fulfilled all their obligations.
Housing subsidy: You will receive a monthly 550 NIS housing subsidy (in the form of a reimbursement) for the first 10 months. Then, until the end of the program, the subsidy will be 500 NIS per month.
