Empowering Youth Through Tech Education

Net@

The Net@ program—established by The Jewish Agency for Israel and other partners—provides professional technological skills training to young Israelis from disadvantaged backgrounds.

As the tech industry grows increasingly central to Israel's economic success, computer literacy and education becomes a vital skill for Israelis of all ages. But for many living outside Israel's larger cities, it's also an essential opportunity to secure a brighter future.

Net@ focuses on young Israelis located in Israel's peripheral communities—places that often suffer from higher rates of unemployment and see high-school dropouts in greater numbers. This after-school program instills leadership, personal empowerment, and social responsibility through a four-year curriculum that trains these kids in advanced, professional technological skills. More than 1,000 young Israelis in 15 communities each year participate—and when they're through, their prospects soar.

Not only do they become attractive candidates for top tech jobs, but they're also trained in running a small businesses. Simply, Net@ alum are empowered to take their careers in whichever direction they choose.
