Rosh Haayin - New Orleans-Birmingham

The partnership between the Jewish community in New Orleans and Rosh Ha’ayin has been active since 2006, and operates a variety of programs, among the various age groups in education, sports, Jewish identity and leadership.

The Partnership hosts incoming delegations from New Orleans such as young adults delegations, Celebrity chef delegation and more. In addition the partnership also has outgoing missions to New Orleans as the delegation of teachers from the Rosh Ha’ayin conservatory who visited New Orleans. The Bridges being built strengthen the connection to Israel and the warm relationship between Israel and the Diaspora.

The Strong partnership between Rosh Ha’ayin and New Orleans takes place thanks to dedicated volunteers working on the steering committees in both cities. Steering committee members contribute their energy and time to develop and strengthen the partnership and to help formulate strategic directions and programs, and act out of a shared responsibility to promote volunteerism in the region, based on traditional Jewish values and Zionist identity, recognition of diversity and respect for pluralism in Jewish society in Israel and the Diaspora.

here is pace in the air in this town, there is a kind of rhythm which you can feel all the time…” say the teachers from the Rosh HaAyin conservatory who visited New Orleans.
