After more than 30 years of working as a devoted Jewish communal servant in the US and Israel (among others, as a Director of the Overseas Department in Melitz-Centers for Jewish Zionist Education; Director of Administration in Ramah Israel Institute; Director of Resource Development in JDC and more), in 2008 Rena left the non-profit world and established with her husband a thriving family business of officiating at B’nai Mitzvah primarily for North Americans. This business has enabled them to celebrate with over 1000 families from all over the world. Rena serves as the CEO.

Rena expresses her passion for advancing pluralistic Judaism in Israel through her role as Chairperson of Kehilat Ma’ayanot, and also by helping the Tnuah Masortit in many ways.

She serves as an Associate Board member since April 2023.
