Robert is Managing the Director of Cape Gate Fence & Wire Works, and is a past president of the Cape Chamber of Industries.

He serves as Chair of United Jewish Appeal (UIA) South Africa and as Chair of the Keren Hayesod Budget Committee. Mr. Kaplan holds degrees from Cape Town University and Columbia University. He has homes in Cape Town and Jerusalem.

Mr. Kaplan has been a member of The Jewish Agency’s Board of Governors since 1995. He currently chairs the Allocations Subcommittee
