Shalom Corps

Building a global Jewish volunteer movement

Shalom Corps was established in 2020 by The Jewish Agency and Mosaic United (a collaborative program of the Government of Israel and the Ministry of the Diaspora) to build a global Jewish volunteer movement dedicated to meaningful service and social responsibility as an expression of Jewish values and love of humanity.

Shalom Corps believes that authentic, needs-driven service can have a transformative impact on vulnerable populations around the world, and on young Jews looking to make a difference. To do this, Shalom Corps:

  • Creates opportunities for valuable and meaningful volunteering experiences.
  • Recruits volunteers from around the world and connects them to their Jewish identity.
  • Develops a dialogue between giving and receiving.
  • Provides a support system for volunteer program operators.
  • Creates a space for inquiry, discovery, and dialogue.
  • Strives for impact for a better world.

Through its partnerships with global organizations, Shalom Corps endeavors to provide relief and support to underprivileged populations by significantly increasing the number of Jewish youth volunteering, both locally and globally, through Jewish frameworks.
