Susan Shulman Pertnoy is the 2024 recipient of Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County’s highest honor – the Jeanne Levy Community Leadership Award.

Susan served as Board Chair of Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County from 2022-2024. During her remarkable two-year tenure, the Federation launched its incredibly successful Campaign for the Future. This groundbreaking fundraising effort is ensuring Jewish Palm Beach remains a thriving community today, tomorrow and forever.

Susan’s warmth, vision and deep commitment to the Jewish people guide her leadership journey. A longtime resident of the Palm Beaches, Susan has hosted Federation’s award-winning TV news magazine, Mosaic, for more than ten years. The show – which airs on the Palm Beaches’ ABC affiliate, online and via podcast – features exclusive interviews with influential thought leaders and explores issues affecting the local and global Jewish communities.

Susan holds numerous senior leadership positions at the local and national levels. She currently is on the Board of Directors for The Jewish Agency for Israel’s North American Council, Jewish Federations of North America, the Kay Family Foundation and the Palm Beach Center to Combat Antisemitism & Hatred. She has previously served as a Board Member of Alpert Jewish Family Service, Birthright Israel Foundation’s Palm Beach Leadership Cabinet, Chair of Federation’s Israel & Overseas Committee, Executive Committee Member of Federation’s Women’s Philanthropy, Board Chair at the Mandel JCC of the Palm Beaches, Board Member of Temple Emanu-El of Palm Beach, and she is a former Trustee of The Washington Institute for Near East Policy.

Susan and her husband Ronnie Pertnoy are also founding members of The Fund for West Palm Beach Police, which provides support for police officers and their families. Susan received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Syracuse University and her Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University. She currently works in real estate development in Palm Beach. Susan is the proud mother of six and grandmother to eight children.
