Representatives of The Jewish Agency for Israel's Board of Governors, who convened in Israel in June 2026, issued a joint statement expressing concern over proposed legislation in the Knesset that they say could undermine Jewish pluralism and weaken the Jewish people, including proposed measures related to egalitarian prayer at the Kotel and the Law of Return.

Led by The Jewish Agency and the Government of Israel, with support from Jewish communities worldwide, the project will create up to 1,000 new homes in communities in the Western Negev and help secure the region’s long-term growth.

At the November 2025 Jewish Agency Board of Governors meeting, community representatives will meet with relatives of hostages and with bereaved families, tour war-affected areas, and discuss plans to increase Aliyah while confronting antisemitism.
