For thousands of high school students in northern Israel, the 2025-26 school year has been intensely tumultuous. Ongoing security threats, repeated sirens disruptions, displacement and constant stress have made it difficult to learn, focus, or even plan for the future. Many are now at risk of falling behind or not graduating.
To support these teens, The Jewish Agency and Homeward launched Thrive North – Youth, a new initiative bringing approximately 1,500 students to safe campuses in Jerusalem and southern Israel for short, fully funded stays that provide:
- Learning continuity to close learning gaps
- Emotional respite from daily stress
- Resilience-building through guided support
- A pathway back to graduation, and to future success
