Each year, The Jewish Agency recruits charismatic and energetic young Israelis to travel abroad as Summer Camp Shlichim in North America, where they work in Jewish summer camps as counselors, specialists and educators.
Summer Camp Shlichim participate fully in camp life, sharing Jewish traditions, teaching Israeli and Jewish culture, and serving as role models for campers and staff. In summer 2022, a total of 1,550 Shlichim were dispatched to North America for the camp season, where they reached 100,000+ campers and nearly 20,000 staff members.
Noam, who has cerebral palsy, is serving as a Jewish Agency Summer Camp Shlichah (Israeli emissary) in Philadelphia, breaking boundaries and not letting her limitations stop her.
Camp Shlichim (Israeli emissaries) Yair and Ohev are committed to creating strong personal relationships with campers, helping foster a love of the Jewish state and Judaism.
Usually inseparable, Israeli twin sisters Gaya and Hagar are serving at different camps in North America as emissaries for a second summer, doubling their impact.

Dvir is serving as a Rosh Edah (unit head) for eighth graders at Camp Yavneh.
"Our job as Shlichim is to try to honestly answer every question asked about Israel and being an Israeli."
Elihay is serving as a counselor for fifth and sixth graders at Camp Havaya in the Poconos.
"I want to share the story of Israel with American Jews."
